In the chart of accounts setup in R12, Is it possible to disable posting of manual vouchers to some of the control accounts? If yes can explain?

Hi,

For this you can put security rule on these account for the GL responsibilities or all so no one can see these accounts and only system can able to create entry by using these accounts

Or you can choose posting not allowed in segment quailifiers, after that posting wont be allwoed in these accounts but you need to make it yes when its required to post in these accounts.

Or else

If you have different levels in GL responsibilty and you want some of them cannot do posting than you can create a new responsibility and remove the posting button from their responsibilities.

Other than that till my knowledge we cannot not do so.
