Expense Control

Hi friends,

My client has a requirement . He wants that without the use of budgeting can he limit his expenses so that in case it crosses the limit there will be a sort of notification or like. He says this will help him in controlling his expenditure. But he is not keen in using Budget facility in Oracle General Ledger Module.
If anyone can help me , plz do so. Even if we can solve such requirement with the help of Budget also..plz let me know how to do that.
