can't save asset categories

When I want save asset categories occur error:
Value **** for the flexfield segment Major does not exist in the value set ****, this happened not for all value, but for some value.
Anybody know this issue? Please advice...Thanks

Once check Cross Validation rules, Security Rules or check Particular combination is disabled in General Ledger

Hi tinabradford.

Fixed Assets key flexfileds are one time setup. Asset category flexfield having two segments one major category and second one is minor.
major segment validation type is independent minor segment validation type is dependent so Asset category flexfield will not enable allow dynamic insert.

First u can enter major segment values then you enter minor segment values.
