Here is a very userful link explaining database control methods,

http://www.lc.leidenuniv.nl/awcourse/or ... s.htm#3114

For ERP you should read metalink notes,
Best Practices for Securing Oracle E-Business Suite (Note 189367.1)
E-Business Suite Recommended Set Up for Client/Server Products (Note 277535.1)

Secondly your application(s) may be using same database user name so how you are interested to restrict the user from one IP?

Problem is not being resolved as i give u its details..........

Let i have some IP Addresses like 192.168.8.252 and 192.168.4.65. I want that only these IP Address can connect to the database directly via Sql/PLSql?
