Hello,
In this way u must be open a new code for this item.
if u change status of the item local to important then u must be change UOM of the item in master lavel.

<font color="blue"><font size="2"><font face="Verdana">Hi,

We CANNOT change the UOM for an item once the UOM is assigned to the item.

The suggested solution by Oracle is as follows:

If the item has not been transacted you can delete the item and then re-add it with the correct UOM.

If the item has been transacted and has no outstanding orders

a) Rename the existing item 'Item_****' to 'Item_****_Bad_UOM' and save the item.
Any prior history for item will now be associated with item
'Item_****_Bad_UOM'.
b) Add a new item now with the correct UOM.

Do it in test instance before doing anything in production.
Double check and after doing it in test instance - do take the approval from your client/management.

Regards,
Anu
