unable to define customer in AR 11i

unable to define customer in AR 11i

hi in AR 11i i defined to multi org. while defining the customer it is giving error please define the item validation organisation in the parameters window in order management. then iam clicking ok button in the error window and it is going to customer window.In the classification window i have given the details and after i went to address tab and in the address tab i have given the header information . after i clicked in usage in business purpose tab and it is automatically going to charecteristics tab and the window is not working i. e iam unable to type any thing there and i cant go to other tabs. is there any profile options i have to set for this or what.

Looks strange!!! I don't think it is related to any profile option issue. Item validation organization should be defined in OM parameters, but it is not mandatory to define the customers.

Logout and login again and then try once again. Let us know if the same issue is there.

Try creating item validation organization in OM. You may go through the metalink id 464606.1 for more details.

Hi

Whenever you are getting that error You have to define ITEMVALIDATION ORGANIZATION in Order Management.
Navigation:Setup/Systemparametars/values

Then you have to Choose your operating unit after click on Show
All there you have to choose ITEM VALIDATION ORGANIZATION your INVENTORY ORGANIZATION then u come back to Receivables now u can create Customer.
