OU1 employee sends PO for approval to OU2 employee

Dear all purchasing gurus,

We are using Position based Approval Hierarchy for approval of our purchase orders . Just a little doubt a employee is transferred to different OU (2) from his current OU(1) but he still reports to the manager present in his previous OU(1) .
Because he is transferred to the outer OU in his position first segment will get changed .

Is it feasible that one OU(1) employee will report to another OU (2) employee and if OU(1) employee will make purchase order will it go to OU(2) employee for approval ? What are the things I need to take care for the same
