How to this type of Budget Setup

Post by Pooja »

Hi

We need to setup budget in our organization. Our accounting flexfield has the following segments

Unit.Project.Natural Account

where, a Unit is a legal entity (i.e. different values of Units means different Legal Entities), Project is the project number running in a particular Legal Entity and Natural Account.

Unit value 101 is like a Supervising Unit and all other units' financial data consolidates to unit 101

Now, We need to assign a Budget of say Rs. 2000 to a combination:
<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>101.Common Project. Taxi Services</span id='hl'>

And we want that this budget is then transferred to other Units such that

<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>102.Project A.Taxi Services</span id='hl'> - is assigned a budget of Rs.300
<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>102.Project B.Taxi Services</span id='hl'> - is assigned a budget of Rs.400
<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>103.Project A.Taxi Services</span id='hl'> - is assigned a budget of Rs.800
<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>103.Project C.Taxi Services</span id='hl'> - is assigned a budget of Rs.500

i.e. the sum of <span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>Unit.Project.Taxi Services</span id='hl'> should be maximum upto the budget assigned to
<span id='hl' style='background-color: yellow'>101.Common Project.Taxi Services</span id='hl'>

Can you please help me in guiding how to do this setup.

Hi pooja as per my knowledge if the amounts are constant means use mass budget. here you define a dummy parent value for 101,102,103 also define parent value for A and B. now define mass budget.

i hope it will helpfull for you.
