Hello
How r u all

hope all of you are fine and i am also fine there is a problem in defining the unit of measure
that is to say

i have defined the item in master level organization and assigning the template to all the items which unit of measure is <b>'each'</b> and i want to change unit of measure at master level organization how can i change the unit of measure of each item.

there is one inventory organization that is master organization all the items are defined at master level using R12 version 12.0.4

Please any one tell me how could i change the unit of measure

Hi,

Once you have defined UOM in Item master and save the item, you can not change UOM.

If you did not make any transaction with the item in any organization, then delete the item from master and Re create item with your correct UOM.

This is the standard feature.

if you dont mind how can i delete the item from master organization it will in the items deleting option is disabled for the item

Hi,
If you have Inv Manager Responsibilty then navigate to Items > Delete Items.

You have to attach the item to a delete group and submit delete group.
It will delete the item from its master and child orgs if any assigned.

Note: You can delete only those items for which have there have been no transactions happened.

You can alternatively delete the record from MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B table too.
