how to add new assets informations

Hi
in our company we have some specific informations for our assets, and we need that information will be registred in FA, my problem that it's the first time that we'll use FA so we need to upload out legacy assets with that specific informations, and we need also that these specific informations will be posted to FA_ADDITIONS from FA_MASS_ADDITIONS
so wich attribute should i use, is this the solution or there is other solution?
