R12-Unbalanced accounting entries in AP Payments

Post by abhyankarnarayan »

Hi,

When we make a payment, the cash account is not credited to the exact value of the liability account, even though there is no exchange rate variation is involved. For example, for few payments it debits say 100.10 USD and credits the cash account with 100.09 USD. This leaves the journal unbalanced. In the primary ledger it gets balanced with the rounding account. But in the secondary ledger (Subledger accounting method as standard cash), it is still unbalanced. ANy idea why:

1) The accounting is unbalanced at the first place
2) Cash Ledger is unable to account for rounding

Thanks,
Narayan
