Journal Soure - Effective date rule

Journal Soure - Effective date rule

Hi,

At Journal source definiton, there was 3 values avialbel for effective date rule.

Roll date
Leave Alone
Fail..

Can somebody explain the above 3 rules. when this rule will work?
