Dear Yknev ,
DEPRN_SOURCE_CODE indicates whether the depreciation record was created by the Books window (B), by running the Depreciation program (D), or by the Member Asset Tracking functionality (T).
Also in future please use Oracle E TRM's (Electornic Technical Reference Manuals) for getting details with respect to Table and column purposes. Its available under the link

Dear Yknev,
the DEPRN_SOURCE_CODE only tells you the source of Depreciation and not the Source of an Asset. Source of an Asset has no relevance to the DEPRN_SOURCE_CODE value. We are concerned only about how depreciation is generated:
Depreciation can have the following sources:
1) B - Depreciation is created through Book window ( One can make entry for Unplanned Depreciation or One can adjust the cost which will in turn result in Catch up depreciation)
2) D - Depreciation is created through Concurrent program
3) T - Member Asset Tracking Functionality ...
These above statuses have nothing to do with the source of an Asset, whether it is from payables or directly created in asset module or migrated through spreadsheet or webadi ....

Dear Aman,
whenever we have a group asset under which we have member assets, the depreciation computation of the group asset is allocated to member assets in the following two ways:
1) Allocate Group Amount
2) Calculate Member Asset Amount.
If the distribution to a member asset is distributed by the group asset in one of the above methods, then the value of the DEPRN_SOURCE_CODE will be T.
For an detailed overview go through the White paper available in metalink on Member Assets, the relevant note id is 375153.1
