I need your guidance regarding a client setup. I want to download, install, and configure the following stack:

Oracle Database 19c

JDK 17

Oracle APEX 24.1

ORDS 24.1

Apache Tomcat

Although I am not a DBA, I need to complete this deployment for a client and I’m currently learning the installation and configuration part.

Could you please advise on the following:

For a client deployment, would you recommend doing this on Windows 11 or Linux (considering stability, security, and long-term maintenance)?

If you have any step-by-step guide, documentation, checklist, or recommended video tutorials for this complete setup (19c + APEX + ORDS + Tomcat), kindly share them with me.

After a desktop/server restart, can we configure it so that APEX/ORDS (via Tomcat) starts automatically? If yes, what is the best practice for auto-start on Windows/Linux?

If a user needs to access APEX outside the local network and we don’t want to use VPN, what are the secure options you recommend?

Your guidance will help me a lot in completing this properly for the client.
