Can any one let me know the OM setup steps...? I need u people help..

Hi,


Please find the setup steps:

1) Define Transaction types . Setup> Transaction types ( this setup needs to be done before assigning documents numbering as automatically system would create the document category based on the transaction type name.
2) You need to define Customer and Bill to and Ship to location for this particular customer
3) You need to define Defaulting Rules and Processing constraints
4) Need to define document numbering. Setup >Document
5) From shipping point of view you can define Pick Slip Rules
6) You need to define payment terms if not already defined in Receivables.
7) Inventory Item needs to be defined with quantity.
8) Price Lists needs to be defined for an particular item..

Om setups:

Setups done to used on Order Header ,Order Line
----------------------------------------------
1. Customer ( Setup in AR)( Populated in OM from customer master)
2. Price list
3. Defaulting rules ( to reduce manual work in entering all details in order)
4.order import sources
5.Holds
6.Attachments
7.Payment Terms ( done in AR)
8.Transaction types ( order types -wf assignments)
9.Processing constraints ( these are seeded ones .which can be customized for business )
10.Document sequences,assign ( for order no sequence)

Setups done to used for pick release process

1.Release sequence rules
2.pick slip grouping rules
3.Release rules form

Setups done to be used for shipping

1.shipping parameters
2.Frieght carriers & cost types
3.shipping exceptions
4.shipping calenders
5.Container-item relationship( for packing)
6.shipping grants
7.documents sequences,categories,sets
