Demand and Reservations
Hello,
Normally Standard Sales Orders can be split into 9 sub-steps which are jointly carried out by modules like INV, OM, PRICING, SHIPPING and AR.
Following are the steps:
1) Order Entry
2) Order Booking
3) Reservation
4) Pick Release
5) Pick Confirm
6) Ship Confirm
7) Enter Invoice
Complete Line
9) Close Order
When order is booked , Demand interface program runs in background and insert into inventory tables mtl_demand
When doing reservations, Schedule Order program runs in background and quantities are reserved. ONce program get completed mtl_reservations table get updated.

i want to add "the reservation will hapend once the Move Order (wave type) is completed; automaticaly or manualy depending on your setup
and this stage is folwed after running releasing the sales order.
and this is the normal workflow os the sales order, but if the sales man manualy spesefy and allocate qty from tools>>schedule>>supply.
the qty will be reserved once the order is booked.
