Multi currency setup

Hi All,
I have following queries:
1. Profile options QP: Multicurrency Install & QP: Multicurrency Usage remains No. When i click on LOV, nothing happens and the value remains No. I want to set it as YES
2. Currency in Price List is USD and i want to create an SO for CAD. when i change the currency inSO form to CAD, it gives an error "Order currency does not match Ledger Currency". I want to set USD as currency in Price list, but want to create SO for diferent currencies.
3. I am unable to create multicurrency setups, Is Advance pricing necessary for multicurrency?
PS: I do not have Advance PRicing installed and i want to use multi currency setups without having advance pricing.
