ORA-00845: MEMORY_TARGET not supported on this system

SQL> connect / as sysdba
Enter password: **********
Connected to an idle instance.
SQL> STARTUP
ORA-00845: MEMORY_TARGET not supported on this system
As root set following to 7GB,
# mount -t tmpfs shmfs -o size=7g /dev/shm
now switch to oracle user and try again.
