Hi

There are two things one is CRP (I, II and III) then folllows UAT

CRP stands for Conference Room Piloting where in the application features are shown to the users in different phases starting from simple Flow to Complex one based on the BP080 (Future Business Model as per AIM Methodology) and with the sample Manufacturing Item of the Customer Bill of Material.

UAT stands for User Acceptance Test and requires a sign off where in the users want to test and make them Comfortable before sign off.

The Standard Business Flows like Procure to Pay and Order to Cash becomes handy if the users are practised continuously.

The Major Issues that may creep up during UAT testing are like
where you provided some sort of workaround and convincing the client to use that functionality

Examples.
a) Maintaining the Letter of Credit Number for an invoice through DFF and Track from there in Accounts Payable.

b) Drop Shipment in OM. Even though standard Process but still Complex.

c) Petty Cash Functionality

d) Staff Advances Payment Recovery and Adjustment through Payroll

e) Period Closing happens across all OUs' when you operate Multiple OU with single SOB

f) Linking PO to PR - No Direct method of Linking.

g) Modifying the Distributions account after it is approved in PO or Invoice.

It mainly happens the UAT phase all the uncovered areas where you provided some sort of workaround and getting sign off from the Users for the Project to Complete

Hope this helps

hi Siva kumar.
In UAT, Is it necessary or optional to form all reports so that user can have a view of it so that we can build confidence over the system and in pre prod if some thing goes wrong we may correct it

Hi

a) Developing and showing the report varies depending on Project to Project. Generally the Contract specifies minimum No.of Customized report agreed to be developed and provided to the Customer.

b) It also depends whether are you going to use Oracle Reports or Discoverer or FSG to meet the requirement

c) Most of the Consulting Companies will have the repositories of the Report which they created for similar kind of Business and try to reuse the same which involves less effort.

d) Lastly the customer unless check all the available Reports in Oracle or you convince the customer the required information is available but in different format and Customer needs to Provide the Specimen of the Report.

So mostly it will be completed and tested during Pre-Production Stage and in very few situation this activity is completed at UAT stage

Hope this helps

Hi Shiva,
Its amazing seeing u r answers. how many years of experience u r having?
Its kind of yours if u clear follwoing doubts
1)AIM having some different stages. can u tell what documents we prepare in each stage?
2) In a typical project implementation i think 4 types of testing like link testing, unit testing , uat testing. what is these testing and purpose ot testing. at what stage we will do that testing?

Thank q very much shiva,
Venkatesh
