A4 Print Setup

Hi,
I have a report which i need to print in Portrait format on an A4 paper. The trouble is when i send it to the printer the output comes out in one line and only the first line is printed. How can i configure the print drivers on Apps to print on A4 portrait type.
I am using HP 4500 series printers.
