Global Intercompany System is a feature using which one can track transactions that occur betwen different Legal Entities having different Set of Books within a single ggroup.GIS works only for General Ledger and is nothing to do with transactions originate from Sub Ledgers.
Example:
Co 01 making payment on behalf of Co 02 & Co 03. Separate Set up is required in GL to use GIS like Subsidiaries, Intercompany clearing A/C,Threshold Limit etc.
