can we install apps on windows 2000?

hi
i am faced some problems while installing oracle apps 11.5.10 on windows 2000 server edition.
after getting installed regularly i faced some error messages.
even though apps is working ,but trying to connect the database at the same time by apps/apps@vis its giving error message and not connecting to the database,but here in apps while entering the order management details its showing the result .
and i think if the database not connected its not possible to connect the apps...?
so what is the reason behind this...?
pls suggest me whether windows 2000 is compatible for apps 11.5.10?
