Sub Inventory Setup - PAR enabled?

Hi Friends,

When setting up "Sub Inventory", there is a checked box for "Enable PAR level Planning".

According to Oracle User Guide it says "Indicate if Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) is enabled. If you select this check box you cannot perform min-max planning for this subinventory".

Questions:

1. As the name suggests, does it mean that items would be replinished on specific periodic basis? If yes, where can we set this period

2. If period cant be set, then does this mean Automatic Replenishment...which in turn would mean ROP planning

3. How does this "Enable PAR level Planning" checkbox affect? Where and how?
