how to create interface?what is the difference between interface and conversion?

Hi,
Conversion:

Conversion is a one time data transfer program.
Interface:
-----------
Interface is nothing but a transfer the data from file to table. Or Table to file.And interface is a scheduled program.

I dont think so i feel that both are same but as u told conversions is one time process at the itme of implementation and interface is schedule script so when ever user want he can transfer the data into applications
