Hi,
Single set of books/multiple set of books option mainly depends upon business requirement/currency.
Suppose particular business group having operation in india only and having 2 companies like petrol, software and manu ..
petrol comapny requirement may be different from other as we as pure manufacturing company requirement also different. petrol company may need 5 segments tracking/ software may require 7 segments etc.
conclusion:
if the requirement is the same for all operations, we can define one legal entity and one set of books. if different we have to define different legal entities as well as different sob's.
while deciding no of LE'S/SOB'S we have to consider tax reporting requirements/consolidation/ reporting etc.....

Hi
The CoA and Flexfield segments structure is absolutely same for the different LEs. Therefore if I use different SoB, the only difference among them will be in name.
Now can u plz tell is thr a diff in functionality also (transactions and reporting)
