How to read data from serial port

Hi every one
i developed an application in oracle 10g.And weight check is one of
its module.Now my requirment for this module is to read
input from serial port of client pc and display it on form and when the
user press save button then save data in table.i need your's help how
to read data form serial port rs232 in oracle 10g.Accutally the module
for "Weight Station " i want when vehical come over on
weight bridge, i read weight from serial port .As it is
simple in oracle 6i by using MSCOMM control but oracle 10g not
support MSCOMM contol.
can any one help me.
