Error in Shipment Num

hi ,

while transfering data from Rcv_transactions_interface table to Rcv_transaction table we r facing a shipment_num invalid error

Error: The SHIPMENT_NUM specified is invalid. The value specified does not match the expected value (but it works fine 11.5.10.2 now we r upgrading this to R12 and facing the problem )

if updating the shipment_num to null then it works fine ?
