ERPstuff - Oracle EBS Community

I have inserted a line in c:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

which sets the IP of Apps 11i on 192.168.100.2 test.server
when I ping test.server on command line it pings a different IP which is not defined in the host. Now the user can't access the server. Anyone knows the solution or explanation?

There should be no extension of hosts file first you should check as there are two files there. While saving check if it is not hosts.txt. Hope will resolve your issue.
