Dear Members,
As you know there are different security issues and it is bit hard to stop unauthorized people for posting irrelevant material. We are just thinking that how we can stop such people to join our professional forum. An option can be putting some registration cost so only those who really want to learn/share relevant material can only join. Your thoughts are welcome.

Thanks

Hi Admin,
it will be hard to make a check at the time of joining.... what you can do is that, you can take up members who are inactive for a substantial period of time and delete them.....and members who are posting anonymous postings or advertisements also delete them.... !
( They will re register with some other ID and still do the same nuisance...)
But some way u got to take some steps !!!

there must be a vetting procedure.

As Kathy said, close their accounts. There must be some conditions now.

It might be thru recommendations from another user, they can apply using their company emailID etc.

Admin,

Its is something difficult to stop people to post some nonsense. As per my knowledge which I implemented I will one suggestion.

1) Delete all the accounts which r not in access for quite a long period
2) If any new person want to join the forum he need to Ref. by an Active account person.
3) Pls ask the members to Ref. people only who know them well.

Rgds,
