Do we still need Convert to MultiOrg steps in r12

Guys..
bellow is setup steps on MultiOrg with 11i release after GL preparation setup,
for 1 Operating Unit(OU) with multiple Inventory Organization (IO)
1. develop the Organization structure
2. Define SOB (GL functional)
3. Define Locations
4. Define Business Group (on my setup i use default Setup BG with Business Group & HR Organization on organizations classifications)
5. Define Organization type
6. Define startup Organizations (1 OU and 1 IO)
7. Set MO: Operating Unit Profile Option
8. Convert to Multiple Organization Architeture via $ adadmin
9. Set profile Options specific to OU
10. Run MultiOrg setup validation report
11. Set top reporting level via MO:% parameters
it's already run and succesfully finished.
but now, i'm trying to setup new instance with 12 release.
when i try and read 120funmo.pdf - Oracle Applications Multiple Organizations,
i confuse with several steps.
My Question is do we still need to RUN #8 process in release 12 setup?
please share or give any guiline to do RIGHT setup on Multiple Organization setup
with release 12.
