Hi All

I am upto preparing a a budget based on following segment value set hierarchy:

Corporate

SBU1 SBU2

LOB1 LOB1
LOB2 LOB2
LOB3 LOB3

I have defined Budget Org (Range assignments on LOB Level only. I am confused on how to make a Rollup Group which will Rollup the LOB Level Range Assignments into each SBU Level. Think this is an Inter Segment Parent Child Relationship.

Could anybody show me the right direction to go forward.

It looks like a summary level budgeting requirement. Please have a look at Note 265011.1 in Metalink. This has been authored by me when I was in Oracle.

I visited the link earlier, but the difference in our set up we are trying to make Inter- segment Parent child relation ship (between SBU & LOB). This Doc Id dosen't fulfills that.

Please give more information on your chart of Accounts.

Corporate Segment - SBU
Child Value Set - 100,200,300,400
Parent Value Set - 500


Detail Level Segment - LOB
Child Value Set - 110,120,130...
Parent Value Set - 100

We decided to keep 500 value under SBU as Rollup Group for Corporate Budget. Then another Rollup Group to be on 100 value under LOB for Detail Level Budget.

I said inter - Segment Parent Child Relationship because under each SBU there should be all LOBs( 110,120,130...).

still some clarity is required. Please specify the info like this :

a) Chart of Accounts structure - Company.Cost Center etc
b) vaues in the above segments.
c) example of what you would like to achieve
