Dear All,

I have registered with the Solutions Beacon website for 11i Vision Instance. But I am unable to access any of the Purchasing functions.

It gives a message "You are not an employee. You need to setup as an employee to use this".

I tried creating a new employee in HR, but it says that employee number already exists, irrespective of the name.

I also tried to register my user id as a Buyer, but there is no Buyer option in the Setup in Purchasing.

Can anyone help me with this??

Open your user in Sys Admin and assign person/employee. t hanks

Thank you for your reply. But, when I assign a Person to my User, it says "This employee has already been assigned to other User".

and even if I assign it, it shows some SQL error when I try to open any functionality in Purchasing.

The main problem is that I am unable to create a new employee!!

May be there is issue with the instance, you can take a screen shot of the error message and send it solution beacon.

As the instance is shared by many users so try to assign any other employee in order to test your purchasing setup. As you can assign one employee to only one user. thanks
