GOSI info: ?

Post by jos »

Hi,

While creating Organization getting GOSI information prompt to fill the GOSI info:

In NT ? eBiss 11.5.10 - Vison ? with Arabic NLS.

Payable: Setup > org > org :
In the ?Organization Classifications?:
GRE / Legal Entity ? Legal Entity Account > Set of Boos (XXSOB) OK,
Then save, when I try to exit, it prompt to enter
?Saudi GOSI Details? form for ?Additional Organization Information? such as
GOSI Number:
GOSI Office:
Calculation Method:
But this information is not in the LOV,
How to populate this information?
With out this GOSI information we cannot complete or quit the Org setup.

Probably because of this I cannot "open period" (not appear ? ORA?01403 no data found) in Receivables. As well as Period Type not valid in the Receivable (AR: Setup > Transactions > Accounting Rules > Period : xx_period_type ?Msg: This Period does not exist?).

Please provide the solution to complete this setup.

Thanks.
jo.

The accounting treatment of the GOSI elements is as follows:

In the payroll cycle for Saudi staff:

Dr. Staff Salary GOSI Deduction (Employee Part)
Cr. GOSI Contributions Payable GOSI Deduction (Employee Part)

Dr. Social Security Expense GOSI 11% Contribution (Employer Part)
Cr. GOSI Contributions Payable GOSI 11% Contribution (Employer Part)

In the payroll cycle for expatriate staff:

Dr. Social Security Expense GOSI 2% Contribution (Employer Part)
Cr. GOSI Contributions Payable GOSI 2% Contribution (Employer Part)

At the time of payment to GOSI:
Dr. GOSI Contributions Payable 2% + 9% + 11% Staff/Company Contributions
Cr. GOSI Account 2% + 9% + 11% Staff/Company Contributions
