hi All,
please I am having diffculty in moving the cost of asset from asset clearing account to the various asset account.
Please i will want details of how to move the cost of asset from the asset clearing acount to the various asset account. this asset invoice was entered thruogh payables and asset clearing account was debited.

HI keke,

Asset cost and clearing accounts are defined in Asset Categories window and asset automatically change clearing to cost account during asset mass addition process.

Did you transfer the Asset related Payable Accounting entries to GL and Post?

Hi Velumuthu, thanks so much, yes i transfer the cost of the asset from payables to the GL and posted it.

Hi Keke
After you post it to GL run "Mass Additions Create" from payables. Once it is successfully completed then you can prepare mass additions from assets.
