ebtax R12

I have created a tax and i want to apply it accross all legal entities (A,B,C & D) bcoz tax rate is flat through out Pakistan @15% that why
i take common configurator and tax is complete and enabled but in AP at every invoice it is applying tax although we dont need...i want to apply sales tax in such a way that user can choose it from LOV whether it AP r AR...plz reply soon

check either tax configuration or tax rules these 2 things control its appllicability

Hi Khan,

All the TAX or TAX codes which are defined under a particular regime will automatically used by all legal entities or operating units which are under that particular TAX Regime provided conditions defined in TAX rule applicable to a give legal entity or OU. So you define different taxes and try using them with various legal entities.

can we control it i have seen it in the vision instance i have tried my best but it is automatically applying to all invoices in AP which i dont want as i have mentioned above.

Hi Khan,

Check the version of R12 coz there are many errors/issues in the earlier version. I believe RUP4/RUP5 is the latest version of R12. Ideally speaking TAX should only work based on the rules we have specified.

I am currently on R12.0.4,I know tax rules and configuration are the main probable cause but to search it out from userguide or implementation is very difficult....
