Oracle Connectivity Between 2 countries

Hi

I would like to ask that I want to connect oracle between two countries. Actual Our Director visited outside country and I am running a server base software in oracle 8.0.5 amd oracle 6i Server Operating system is windows server 2003.

I have DSL account.

Please help in this regard.

Dear Kamran,

In Case Of Runtime Env.

1st Of All You Should Check Global Naming Of Your Oracle Database
2nd Route Your machine (DB Server IP From Any ISP)
3rd Create TNS On Clent Mahcine

In case Of AS

Just Route your Application Server IP from DSL Machine
And Cheers

Assalam-o-Alaikum

You need Fixed IP first.

According to me you go for Replication. Do not connect directly to server which is located at other country for Reporting
