In multiple orgnisation we setup INV organisation in the place of OU.
Wat are the advantages and dis advantages for that steup
and how to setup steps for that.
For ex if i have three OU In India Like Banglore, hyderabad and chennai
and each org have three INV in their respective regions\
wat my Qus is if i setup inventory org in OU places wat r the adv and dis adv of that setup

IN Multi-Org structure, there is difference b/w OU and IO. They cannot replace each other.
OU are setup to record daily transactions of or other business details. It may be a sales office, a division, or a department or subsidiary co. etc.
while an IO represents an organization for which you track inventory transactions and balances, and manufactures or distributes products. Examples include manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, etc.
Under one OU, you can define multiple IO depending on the structure of the business/org. IO can be referenced by any Operating Unit having the same Set of Books as the attached Operating Unit.
