Hi,
Please differentiate between Parent Accounts - PA & Summary Accounts - SA with advantages and disadvantages of each other?

One difference I am sharing here,

The summary accounts store balances while Parent Accounts will not store balances.

Summary accounts are used as constant segment in Mass Allocations whereas Parent accounts will be used as looping segments.

Correct me if i am wrong

In Summary accounts user can view balances online while Parent accounts cannot be viewed online because they do not maintain balances.

Summary accounts can be used in recurring journals or budget formulas whereas parent accounts cannot be used in recurring journals or budget formulas since they do not maintain balances.
