Hi,

We are using ADI to upload Journals in to GL system. I am getting an below error when i enabled the Journal description to be uploaded along with the Segments, Debit and Credit and i couldnt save the settings.

An Unexpected Error Has Occurred in ADI:

Routine: MAINGLDI: Do Template
Source: Microsoft Office Excel
Message: Add method of Sheets class failed
Error Number: 1004

It is recommended that you run the Diagnostic Wizard to verify that ADI is correctly installed.

Can Anyone help me to fix the same

Regards
PK

If you are adding description manually as a column then it will give error. You should add more columns by selecting columns. Thanks

I'm not sure what this reply means, it does not solve the error 1004 issue with ADI...?

What is the version of ADI? As I remember there were couple of patches need to be applied after installation of ADI. Thanks

Pl let us know the following,

- How you are adding description column?
- Any other upload is working?
- Is this the only PC where you have tried ADI?
- Version of Office?

Excel 2003, Navigate to Tools -> Macro -> Security -> Trusted Publishers. At the bottom of this security box there is an option ?Trust access to Visual Basic Project? make sure that this is checked and then click on ok. Close Excel and then try again and this solves the problem.

In 2007, it's under excel options under the ribbon, then trust centre, trust centre settings, tick the Trust acecss to the VBA project object model.
