what is raw cost and burden cost?

can anyone explain me in simple words...

Raw Cost is Direct Cost
Burden Cost is Indirect Cost

it is a direct cost which actually is spent on a project.
any additional cost incurred on the raw cost is known as burdened cost

total burdened cost = raw cost + burdened cost.
