Asset Depreciation

Hello
I hope this message finds you well, my case is:
Asset Cost = 3000 $
Life = 3 years
salvage =1 $
Date in service 1-DEC-2007

The customer want to depreciate it as following

1st year 40%

2nd & 3rd year 30%

Calendar (Jan-90 to Dec-90)
Prorate (1-15) same month (16-30) following month
I tried table method and formula but after in 1st period(DEC-2007) Expense was 1200 (suppose for 12 periods in first year)
rates in table (.4-.3-.3-0)

Hi leedo

From your description, I think you can do the following:
1) for Prorate (1-15) same month (16-30) following month, you define the prorate like this 16-Jan till 15-Feb period Feb-08 & continue each period like this.

2) For depreciation, you must define the rates in the depreciation method for this asset category then define the asset for 1st year [@] 40%, after the year are finished you can update the rate for this asset to be 30%.

thanks for your attention
look , my case is not just 1 assets no it is 300 asset and there are different DPISs . In addition I tried table and formula but no use . Plus I tried to change calendar type but also did not work
