Dear All,

We are migrating from 11i to R12, all the basic setups are been done, in AP after making invoice we are able to validate it, but when we try to do create accounting it gives us the error `Online Accounting could not be created for this transactions' and is asking for sumitting conconrrent.

We have validated all the definations.

The same issue is also coming while making payments, also the same problem is coming in Receivables while making transactions and receipts.

Are we missing something in the setup?? Please give us some solutions. It really urgent.

You can try the following which is as per Metalink Doc ID: 745232.1

Revalidate the Application Accounting Definitions for Payables running the Payables concurrent
program
"Validate Application Accounting Definitions" with following option

Ledger :<ledger name>
Uncompiled status only : No
Application : Payables
Application Accounting Def : <null>
Def owner : <null>

Check that all is fine, try back to execute online accounting

If the above doesn't work, as a work around you can schedule the concurrent Program 'Create Accounting' for every one minue or 5 minutes depending up on your requirement.

i submitted the `Validate Accounting Defination' request, then i submitted the `Create Accounting' request, but again it went in error. the log file gave the following error.

Please help me with this issue, please note that the Online accounting process is also not working in AR module. Does it means i am missing something in setup??

Do you have the output for 'Validate Accounting Definition' Program?

Also you will have to check whether your Application Accounting Definitions are valid. But firstly check for the output for the 'Validate Accounting Definition' Program

The output of Validate Accounting Definations is going OK, it has validated all the accounts.

Suggest me the next step

If you say that "Validate Application Accounting Definitions" validated all the definitions, then it means that your Application Accounting Definitions are valid.

Another Question is did you make any changes to the Subledger Accounting Method?

If you haven't done any changes to SLAM, then carefully review your Subledger Accounting Options in Ledger Setup.

i will check the subledger setups n options again. Is there any specific documents which gives a streamlined setup steps and options for SLAM??

There is not much Setup for this. If you haven't made any changes to SLAM, You just need to select the SLAM in Ledger Setup. Since you have this issue, I am asking you check the Subledger Options in Ledger Setup.

today i dint go to work, so tomrw i will be surely check what u have asked, but if u dont mind can i again ask for some good docs for R12 implementations.
