PDF Report (Arabic )Showing junk Data

Report PDF(arabic ) arabic characters showing in junk data. Same report In text format showing fine. We are using Report6i and Oracle Apps 10.5.10.2 . Please any one advice me to get correct data in PDF.

i think its too late but the solution for this u need to install the character set for arabic.
its the DBAs task

Open the report in report builder.
Right click on the report name. Go to Property Inspector.
Set the XML Prolog Value.
XML Settings -> XML Prolog Value <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252"?>.

HI Raj
We had the same problem before & to solve it you want to install acrobat ver3 on the client PC & use these fonts in the report builder (in the field which contain the arabic data) :
- Traditional Arabic
- Simplified Arabic
- Arabic Transparent
& when you submit the request from Oracle application & press on view output you can save it then open with acrobat3.
