Hi,

Please let me know the procedure of merging of multiple FA books into One FA Book.

We have different types of books available and all books mapping to same GL.

Thanks & Regards,

Siva

Hello.

I think you will have to retire the assets on the source books and add them on the target book.

hi ,

If you want to transfer asset to another Book you have to retire it from the first book and add to the other Book.

Hi,

Inactivate the book which you will not be using later.

Take the list of all the assets which are in inactivated book

upload all these assets in the active book through web adi

for these uploaded transactions in the first period the entry of

Asset a/c Dr
Asset clearing a/c

Needs to be reversed. As you are mentioning both the FA books are connected to one SOB

Check the asset cateogeries before migration

Thanks,

Apart from the above, just to be double sure that you do not post anything from the book being discarded, uncheck the GL Posting checkbox in the book definition.

Hi,

When the book is inactivated.

We will not be able to add a new asset or run the depreciation or run the accounting entries

Hence transfer to GL need not be un checked

Thanks,
