Reversing the Journal entries with "Change Sign"

Reversing the Journal entries with "Change Sign"

Hi there,
If we want to reverse a journal which is actually entered by mistake, the option of "Change sign" is not coming in that screen to reverse. menaing even if we select the "change sign" option it is taking "Switch Dr/Cr"... Can anyone help on this???

Hello Goutamasa.

Search for a System Profile Option called 'Journals: Override Reversal Method' and set it to Yes.

Hi Goutamasa,

The option of change sign or switch Dr/Cr is set at the category level and if tat journal category is used when creating a journal you have tat value defaulted. By setting the profile option mentioned by our friend Octavio we can over come this issue.

No my friend All you need to do just click on the Reverse button on the Journal Form and post it. Then you have to enter new correct Journal you actully want to enter.
