Hi M. Usman,

Query the assigned responsibility to find the specific request group

Add the "Submit Accounting program" request to the specific request group

Now you can run program to post the transactions to general ledger

thanks babitha [:)]

but let me make my question more clear to you so that you may help me in more better way.

my user is creating invoices and receipts
i want to give him the authority so that he may be able to create accouting for the individual invoices and receipts.

i.e.

i want to activate the following create accounting option

TOOL menu
CREATE ACCOUNTING
VIEW ACCOUNTING.

Hi Usman,

If you are using R12 then this functionality should be availble inbuilt if you are using the satndard menus and function.

Shashi

hi shashi,
i know that it by default appears in TOOLS menu but that particular user was not supposed to do Create Accouting, so while designing / assigning responsibility to that user, i did't grant the Create Accouting authority to him
but
now that user is well matured in R12 and is to be given the authority of Create Accouting.

so this is the case,
i want him to assign the Create Accouting authority now.

i hope now the picture will be clear to you and you people will be in a much better position to guide me.

Thanking in anticipation.

As I understand, you have excluded 'Create Accounting' from the responsibility to remove access. Hence all the users using this responsibility will not have access to 'Create Accounting'.

If you want to give access to 'Create Accounting' for all the users using this responsibility, simply delete the excluded function (or you need to reverse what was done to remove the access).

If you want to give access to 'Create Accounting' only for few users, then create a new responsibility for them and exclude the functions whatever needed.

Cheers,

Hi Usman

The access for application can be done through responsibility not from user so if you want to grant some function to user or more then you need to define a special responsibility for these users.

Thanks
