I open Inventory module and create 3 item: A: SugarMilk->Liter, B: Sugar->kg, C:Milk -> Liter. Then I turn to Formula module and creating formular. I enter A as product, B+C as ingredient. When I save it, it give me a note:
"Cannot calculate the total output quantity or total input quantity for this formula. The items in this formula may not have UOM conversions to the GMD: Yield Type UOM."

After that, I delete Sugar but it have the same error.

Please tell me what happen, thanks.

Hi,

You may use ingrdient with various UOM.

But those UOM should have a relation (conversion factor, unit of measure, inventory) with the UOM used for "GMD:Yield type UOM"

Also the Routing/Operation process UOM should be the same as GMD:Yield type UOM.

I think there is some mis match in above section, that is why the error is ocurring.

Hi,
1. you must setup a conversion between kg and L in inventory
or
2. the ingredient in kg, set him Fixed not proportional in formula

Hi,

I've just fixed this problem. That mean I had to convert all item value to MASS UOM class, in inter-class conversion. I see that only convert to MASS is ok, other class is not ok. I don't know why?

Please check whether GMD: Yield Type UOM is defined in Org. parameters if Instance is R12.
