pay on receipt auto invoice

what is the use of run a pay on receipt auto invoice .
"Pay on Receipt" (also called ERS Invoice) is used to created payable invoice automatically based on the receipt and PO. You should enable 'Pay on Receipt' flag at the supplier site level.
