Dear Seniors,

Can anyone tell, what is workflow, is this integral part of R12 or something seperate.

If we donot have workflow in our apps implementation then can we hid data of eachother from two people making entry through same form e.g. Reciept Entry Clerks

Kindly guide.

Dear Maham,

Workflow is is a product of Oracle that is meant to route all your business processes from submission to approval. For example, an employee requests a leave, and this leave has to be approved by his manager, then workflow is run to obtain approval.
Notice that workflow is only applicable in Web Applications like SSHR (not in PUI). Also, notice that you can custom your workflow in HRMS using AME and Workflow Builder.

I hope this helps :P

Try to understand the concept of workflow that is providing a forwarding path to a transaction which needs approval. Let me take example of Purchasing in which PO approval hierarchy is defined which is,

1- PO will be created by operator and will be forwarded to his/her supervisor.
2- Supervisor will review the PO and if he will approve then it will be forwarded to his/her manager else will return to operator.
3- Now manager will approve if PO is in his approval limits else will be forwarded to next position which is final approval and once approved will be available for further action.

now it sounds good that PO is moving from one person to other but question is who is moving/forwarding it? That is workflow...

Hope now point is clear if still not let us know. thanks

Dear Admin,

PO example made my concept very much clear. Thank you very much for that.

But sir, we want to have the restriction, that one receipt entry person donot have access to other receipt entry person's entries and vice versa.

Regards
Maham
