Hi All,

Acutaly we are facing one problem as the mangment have decided to implement Oracle HR without Finance Module at the first stage (1-2 month) just the setup till runing the payroll without costing it ..

We believe it is possible, but we are not sure to which extent ??

also, what consequences could appear once we go for implementing Finance Module ?? (Segments, COA, ... can be done later??) knowing that we have already implemented Oracle HR & Finance in one company .. but the senario above is for the second company in the group ..

Can you please share us your experince on this, and wether it is possible or not and the reasons/explnations please?

Thanks,
Nabil

Yes its quite possible and you wont have much probs in implementing Finance later on. Your HR & Payroll can run stand alone and later the COA of GL can be easily linked with the Payroll Costing. Obviously the balances etc will be loaded in GL for few months reconcilitations.
Thanks

Best practice is to first implement General Ledger before anyother module because other modules end of the day has to be linked with GL. Now I don't know what are the management constraints but anyhow you can implement as you are planning. The only issue I can see is as already mentioned by Mr. Khurram is the balances upload in GL of those months in which Finance module was not there. Thanks
